From the same tape as the last Stretch and Bobbito post (01.18.96 and 02.22.96), the legendary Percee P and S.L.D. drop by and trade lines over Royal Flush's "Movin On Ya Weak Production." Some of this audio is on Youtube, but I've strung together some additional interesting moments from the show, including Stretch and Bobbito not knowing SLD's name (I'm pretty sure twice), Bobbito discussing inverted panties, and more.

Stretch & Bobbito Discuss Hot 97 Show and Percee P - 01.18.96 or 02.22.96

This is a great Stretch and Bobbito clip from either January 18th or February 22nd, 1996. Here, the two discuss how Stretch is keeping his show at Hot 97 different from the WKCR show. Classic chemistry between the two. Here's a piece of the conversation,

Stretch: I'm trying not to make it redundant musically.

Bobbito: There's more than enough good stuff to play.

Stretch: Of course... the foolishness hasn't even begun.

Bobbito: Oh nah, it's mild right now. It's like a mild soap right now. We haven't gotten abrasive yet... right now it's like Dove.

Then, at the exact same time, they each reference Percee P in two different ways...

Stretch: Like Percee P! // Bobbito: Speaking of sulfuric acid, I'm lethal, soon as my words reach you, (trails off slowly...)

Stretch: Gullllllllll

Stretch and Bobbito 01-02-1997 with Kool Herc (A-Side)

From the A-Side of a tape labeled 01-02-1997...

This is a great show right here. Kool Herc calls into the show to talk to Bobbito and stays on the phone for a great deal of time, as they take in calls for people who have questions for Herc. Herc confirms this was his first time catching the show. Some highlights include:

- Kool Herc thinking Tim Westwood's name is Tim Eastwood.

- One caller saying to Bobbito with Kool Herc also on the line "When ya'll gonna play something man, some new shit man, it's '97 kid." Wow.

- Kool Herc doing a short rhyme, "...When push comes to shove, the Herculord won't budge!"

- Another caller saying to Herc that "Big Daddy Kane fell off" after Herc agrees that Rakim is better than him. Kool Herc is quick to respond "Quiet as it's kept man, they're coming back!" Finally, the caller asks Bobbito if Premiere is working on Rakim's new album. Stretch tells him "We'll find out Sunday."

- Recalling the first time he heard Stretch playing records, "I was in the back and this boy was... I THOUGHT IT WAS ME! Alright? Kool Herc back in the days doing his thing. I stepped to him and said, 'Yo brother, you're gonna go a far way man!'"

- Kool Herc recalling a time he was DJing on a boat and Coke La Rock passed him the Hues Corporation Rock The Boat. The people started actually rocking the boat and the captain had to tell him to take the record off.

Unfortunately this conversation gets cut off at the end of the side. Does anybody have a more complete version? Check out the audio, it's very exciting hearing Herc speak on all this stuff!

To keep the hilarious Stretch and Bobbito radio moments vibe going, I wanted to post this clip up. This is a great segment, Kool Keith is bugging out as usual, offending Xzibit left and right and launching into the best / worst freestyle ever seemingly out of nowhere. If you haven't heard it, give it a listen. It will be 10 minutes well spent!

Adventures of the Butthead Assassin - 05.01.1997 Stretch and Bobbito

This Stretch and Bobbito tape is filled with some incredible moments. It starts with Stretch asking listeners to send him an email (remember, this is when AOL was the newest / latest), and from there KRUNCHTIME is off and running. As Stretch explained on his Konstant Kontact blog, "Krunchtime was what we came to call the 4-5 a.m. slot, when we were too tired to dj, focus, or be anything but delirious, and usually opened the phone lines to anyone." Listen for the lengthy conversation with a 22-year-old female caught in the WKCR crossfire. This is a great tape, but nothing tops the one Stretch posted HERE. Enjoy both of them!

I think this audio may already be out there, but I was listening to this tape on Friday and figured I'd share it. This is a Stretch and Bobbito tape dated July 25th, 1996. Mr. Live and Tony Bones are in the studio.

Hear as Stretch and Bob discuss how Rick Rubin "practically had to run to the bathroom and play with his Wurlitzer" upon hearing that Stretch's sister's best friend's mother's boyfriend was the drummer who played on Billy Squire's Big Beat...
